📄️ Reserving Resources from the Inventory

Admins can reserve a resource directly from the Inventory dashboard. This will create a sandbox containing only this resource (as well as its sub-resources if the resource is unshared by default). By default, this option is available for CloudShell admins only but can be exposed to regular users using the AllowRegularUsersToReserveFromInventory configuration key.

📄️ Connecting Remotely to Devices from the Inventory Dashboard

Admins can connect remotely to a device using the device's address and user credentials via RDP, SSH, VNC, or Telnet. RDP, SSH and Telnet are available by default, while VNC must be configured by the administrator. You can also connect to devices from the sandbox workspace.

📄️ Discovering Inventory Resources

This article explains how to rediscover an existing inventory resource. The discovery process validates the resource's settings against the actual device or cloud provider (for cloud provider resources), and loads the device's resource structure (if exists) and settings into the resource. It runs as part of the resource creation process and needs to be rerun again whenever you edit a resource's settings, such as a cloud provider resource's address or access credentials.

📄️ Including/Excluding Inventory Resources

This article explains how to include or exclude resources from CloudShell. Note that CloudShell also excludes resources if their discovery process fails or while they are being edited. Excluded resources are not available for use in CloudShell blueprints and sandboxes.
